Passchendaele and To-Do
[Edit]
How I wish my skin was as clear as this and eyes as pretty.

(I colorized it myself by the way. I know I did a crappy job. -Sigh-)

You have been warned of spoilers for the film.As History and English class rolled by, we filed out of the Transition cardbox and headed downtown for the "Passchendaele" movie at Tinseltown. After managing to smuggle a bubble tea into the theater, I sat down with a sort of anticipation and drowsiness.
The beginning of the film, a flashback of Michael Dunne's memory, sort of haunted me. All that noise. And then it got boring. I really did not enjoy David Mann. So selfish and naive. The actor was brilliant though - handsome and great at acting. But then...the film got better with Michael and Sarah's love story. How they just
had to be enemies. His letter to her after he left to protect her brother after she yelled at him was so touching. Angie and I had started crying like mad by then. The battle scenes seemed to be endless to me and I got so bored I almost fell asleep despite the bombing noises every couple of seconds. Then when he was returned back to her side...it was just so sad. He died. He freaking died. Why can't there be a happy ending after all that turmoil?! By then, Angie, Jess and I were crying...and crying. Sometimes I wonder if Kathy is human. She doesn't cry. She didn't cry for this (which even Coops did, I think) or 1 Litre of Tears. That's just WRONG.
Oh warning. This is not a PG film. At the battle part, one guy was swearing every second word. Well. It
was the Battle of Passchendale. And then there were...at least 2 sex scenes? Still...a gorgeous film. I want to watch it again.
Anyways. My weekend to-do list:
- Physics Lab
- English Essay Summaries
- Chemistry Lab
- History Timeline
- Application Essays
- Application Letters
- Interview Requests
Oh life. How you hate me. I don't get a 'Michael Dunne' or an 'Edward Cullen' and probably won't have a Darmouth acceptance (like Edward's wife did) either.
