Splurging
You know what follows the satisfaction of splurging?
...Guilt.
I went out this afternoon with a $50 gift card for Superstore and $75 cash in my pocket. Do you sense something that
suggests splurging? I do.
I first headed off to Superstore and grabbed Biore Pore Strips, Clean&Clear Blackhead Clearing Astringent and Almay Moisturizing Eye Makeup Remover Pad. I made my way up the escalator to MAC and grabbed the 209 eyeliner brush. Satisfied, I made my way home. However, while I was taking my short cut, my ears were freezing off and Shopper's Drugmart appears in front of my eyes. Cold, I headed inside to warm up a bit before finishing my journey. There, while I was scanning through the skincare section, Bio-Oil appears...ON SALE! I had read about it on Soompi and on Phyllis's MUFL so...naturally, I grabbed it for 10.99. As I worked my way down the makeup aisle, I spotted Rimmel's Fix & Perfect Foundation Primer..for $6 ish. Of course, feeling rich still, I grabbed it.
Now...how am I feeling after this? Guilty..regretting..will be returning things.
- Biore Pore Strips:
- Magical Mwu's skincare regimen demanded pore strips. Remember that good old Princess Diaries scene? Yeah. I grabbed a pack. Tried it this afternoon and...am I amazed and disgusted. I never knew there was THIS much crap in my pores and...the strip actually got some disgusting things out. All in all, I'm pretty happy. I'll use this once more before I go on my vacation next weekend.
- Clean&Clear Blackhead Clearing Astringent:
- Since Superstore didn't carry the Daily Pore Toner I used this summer, I decided to give this one a try. Hmmm. The alcohol smell definitely was stronger. Other than that...we'll have to see the long terms effects - Almay Moisturizing Eye Makeup Remover:
- I googled this before opening the little plastic can and found so many horrible reviews. I'm not an explorer and so I will definitely try to return this tomorrow - MAC 209 Eyeliner Brush:
- While I was happily chatting away with Kathy about my daily finds, this pops up and she growls at me "I told you not to get anything that's stick-like from MAC!" Oops? Christmas present? Oops. I'll go return this tomorrow just in case =P - Bio-Oil
- I have been trying this (with my second application a few minutes ago) ever since I got home. It's on sale at Shopper's until Friday so...I'll test this for a few days. Whether or not it makes me break out, etc. before heading back to stock up.
- Rimmel Fix & Perfect Foundation Primer
- I wrote a detailed review on this here so I won't go into too much detail. I will be returning this.
Well...returning half the items I got today. I'll just take this shopping trip as a simple exercise. Hey, I felt a lot better after walking around (even in the cold)
Anyways. I'm starting a new skincare regimen. It'll be..half caveman, I guess?
- Cleanser - Lancome Mousse Clarte / lemon+honey water
- Toner - Clean&Clear Blackhead Clearing Astringent
- Moisturizer - Clean&Clear Soft Night / Cetaphil Daily with SPF 15 (will be getting the Clinique DDMG when I go to the States at Duty Free though!)
- Treatments - Tea Tree Oil (pimples) / Bio Oil (scars)
As for the diet portion of this regimen
- Limited diary products. Soy milk in place of milk
- No chocolate / candy (agh..so hard!)
- More vegetables, fruits, water
- Drink Lemon + honey water/tea
Ah the second bullet is hard to follow. It's the Holidays!
