2008 Track
Now that I've stepped out of the shell of 2008, I'm going to do some reflection.
Inspired by Jia and her blog post, I'm going to list / link my top 10 tracks of last year...They may not have been released in 2008, but they're the ones that I have put on replay for 3 whole days or something to the point where my family wants to stab me.
In no particular order...I present to you:
- Bleeding Love by Leona Lewis
This track is top when I sort my iTunes library by play-count. I love it. I cry and I never really got sick of it.
- Mirotic by Dong Bang Shin Ki
DBSK's comeback and rebirth in Korea was marked by this song. Hell, they've got me under their spell ;)
- Love Bye Love by Dong Bang Shin Ki
Composed by Micky Yoochun, this song is so beautiful. The chorus drives me mad. Their voices drive me insane.
- Box in the Ship by Dong Bang Shin Ki
Sounds like such a cheerful song, neh? The lyrics, however, is a complete different issue.
"When it suddenly begins to rain
the umbrella and my shoulders get wet
It can't be helped, in the dark, I secretly embrace you
There's nothing to say as it is"
- どうして君を好きになってしまったんだろう by Dong Bang Shin Ki
This was released in the summer, while I was in China. Heartbreaking events happened. This song hit extra hard. I love it, though. Beautiful. Pure.
- Prisoner of Love by Utada Hikaru
An OST track of a drama that might be disturbing to some, I fell completely in love with the song.
- Infection by Chihiro Onitsuka
This was the inspiration track to Jia's beautiful story with the same title. The song is completely shattering and beautiful. Ah...crying tears of black blood.
- I Need You, I Love You by Marc Anthony
Pssst, you know how much I love this song? I'll share a secret with you. If in the future, a boy I love and loves me proposed to me with this song, without the ring and roses, I'd still accept. Yup. That's how much.
- Take a Bow by Rihanna
About cheating, but the melody isn't even gloomy. Love the confidence portrayed. =)
